Pastor Lee Webb, A Memorial

Pastor Lee Webb, A Memorial

A heart, a mind, a soul, after God’s kingdom

Pastor Lee Webb served as Salisbury Bible Fellowship’s pastor and leader for 22 years. During this time he faithfully led our congregation through many challenges and transitions, such as moving from a small church on Robins Avenue to a local high school auditorium, and finally to Court Plaza. From a very young age Lee loved to learn new things, especially topics related to the Bible and how to grow in his relationship with Christ. But knowledge, like faith, without works is purposeless. That is why when Lee was led to become a pastor, he took a unique approach that implemented both teaching and preaching. Pastor Lee, along with his wife Missy, was known for constantly putting his faith into practice. “Be The Church” became a weekly reminder in his sermons, a vital reminder to serve the Lord faithfully everyday, no matter the season you are in.

Pastor Lee exemplified this reminder more than ever during his final years as he battled a cancer diagnosis he received in 2017. Rather than turn his back on God, he chose to persevere. Every Sunday, even after medical treatments that removed his strength and energy, Pastor Lee faithfully showed up and God gave him exactly what he needed. During his final years Lee also completed a PhD program in Theology and Apologetics, growing his knowledge all the more. He shared all that he knew and all that God had laid on his heart right up until his final Sunday. Pastor Lee gracefully persevered, because he knew that no matter what, the kingdom of God was near. His legacy stands as a guiding light for our church as it continues grow. Pastor Lee masterfully taught us all, through both his words and his deeds, one of the most important lessons in living a Christ-centered life: faithfully give all that you have to God, and He will give you everything you need.
